About us
​In April 2019, Bob and Maria Dennedy did the impossible and opened their dream business that would encompass their passions and allow them to share with others a place they truly love; Fowey, Cornwall.
For them, and their family Fowey is unlike any other harbour town in England and a place where generations of Maria’s family have lived and continue to do so today.​
Before opening Trethewey House, Bob worked as a painter for Formula One, while Maria worked as an Accounts/Senior Administrator for a local law firm. They have two grown children, Sophie and Joe, along with a son and daughter in law who occasionally support the business in the busy periods.
For them, and their family Fowey is unlike any other harbour town in England and a place where generations of Maria’s family have lived and continue to do so today.​

Sadly, Maria passed away from a severe illness not long after opening the business, but knowing this was her dream and with her family still close, Bob and his son Joe run the business together and strive to make Maria part of everything they do.
Trethewey also has a resident pup, a West Highland terrier called Dexter, to keep Bob out of trouble, who loves people very much.
Trethewey Guest House is not only the perfect place for those seeking adventure or a romantic getaway for two, but even those simply wanting to experience Fowey and all it has to offer.

About the house
- ​A full fire risk assessment has been completed by the owners as necessary.
- All bedrooms have key codes as does the main front entrance door. There is adequate free off road parking to the front of the house.
- Free wifi!
- There are 14 stairs to the first floor and therefore access is unfortunately not viable for guests with mobility difficulties.
- Parking is off street and free with use of the house.
All our rooms include:
- 24" TV with Amazon Firestick (pin protected parental guidance)
- Tea-making facilities
- Use of our tranquil garden.
- Keypad security -- no keys required! ​
​This lovely house built in 1935 lends itself perfectly to Bed and Breakfast. The building has been purposely refurbished to this end with style, comfort and safety in mind. Linked smoke alarms are situated in the family room, first floor landing and entrance hall. Additional smoke alarms are fixed in all other bedrooms, dining room and private areas. A heat alarm and carbon monoxide detector is fitted in the kitchen.
- Check-In is from 3.00 pm.
- Check Out is before 11.00 am.
- Breakfast is inclusive in the price of the room and is served in the sunny dining room between 8.30 am and 09.30 am.
- Guests may leave any luggage at the premises for later collection.​
